Contamination control

How we manage contamination risk

Contamination control and methods.

We control contamination through zoned working, use of HEPA-filtered extraction, low-particulate consumables and single-direction cleaning where required. Our operatives follow gowning and gown-down procedures when requested to protect the environment.

Cleaning is sequenced to avoid cross-contamination: higher-risk tasks are done last, and all waste is removed from the controlled area promptly. Where necessary we work to client-specific SOPs and gowning matrices.

Documentation

Evidence and compliance support

Documentation and evidence provided with the service.

We supply method statements, RAMS, photographic before/after evidence and tailored checklists to support audits and validation. Documentation is formatted to be included in client handover packs or procurement tender replies.

Our process

Planned cleaning for controlled environments

Critical environment work is planned in collaboration with the client’s QA and facilities team to align with access windows, particle monitoring and validation requirements.

Step 01

Scope & gowning plan

Agree zones, gowning requirements, permitted equipment and any client SOPs before arrival.

Step 02

Controlled entry & prep

Gowning, tool checks and pre-clean particle baseline where required.

Step 03

HEPA vacuuming & low-particulate wiping

Targeted cleaning of racks, benches, plinths and penetration points using certified consumables.

Step 04

Sampling & evidence

Where requested we provide photographic records, particle counts or swab results and a handover pack for QA.

Frequently asked questions

Can you clean live cleanrooms?

Yes — where the client permits live access we use low-disruption methods and plan with your QA team. In many cases a short window outside production is preferred to allow full validation afterwards.

Do you carry out particle sampling?

We can provide pre/post photographic evidence and co-ordinate with your particle-measurement provider where formal counts are required as part of validation.

What training do your operatives have?

Operatives assigned to critical environments hold practical training in contamination control, gowning procedures and use of HEPA equipment; specific client inductions are carried out onsite.

Are you able to follow client SOPs and gowning matrices?

Yes — we work to client SOPs and will incorporate gowning, changeover and waste removal processes into our method statements where required.

How do you avoid cross-contamination between zones?

We use zoned working, single-direction cleaning where appropriate and remove waste immediately from the controlled area to a secure holding point.
